Dholpur, June 11 — Dholpur Police achieved a major breakthrough by arresting history-sheeter Chhotu Meena, a wanted criminal with a ₹25,000 reward on his head. He was nabbed from the Kondar forest in Karauli, and an illegal 12-bore country-made gun was seized from him.

Sarmathura SHO Kripal Singh confirmed that the arrest was made under the ongoing operation led by SP Sumit Kumar Meherda. Chhotu Meena was accused of opening fire on a grocery shopkeeper, Sonu, on May 16, 2025, along with accomplices Rinku, Kirtan, and Hariom.

The gang reportedly hurled abuses and opened fire when the victim protested. A case had been registered under sections 189(2), 115(2), 126(2), 351(2)(3), and 109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

SP Meherda had announced a reward of ₹25,000 each for Chhotu and Rinku. While Chhotu has now been caught, interrogation is underway and search efforts continue for the other accused.
