Man Arrested with Illegal Gun near Sunset Point in Dholpur’s Bari Subdivision

Sone Ka Gurja Police in Bari subdivision of Dholpur arrested a man with an illegal firearm near the Sunset Point following a tip-off. The accused, Balveer, a resident of Khaidarka Pura (Koodinna), was found in possession of a single-shot 315 bore country-made gun.

Along with the weapon, police recovered two live cartridges and two misfired cartridges. SHO Mahesh Chandra said the action was taken on the directions of SP Sumit Mehra. The accused tried to flee upon seeing the police, but was caught after a brief chase.

A case has been registered under the Arms Act and the police are interrogating the suspect to trace the origin and motive behind possessing the firearm.
