Two Employees of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Retire: ‘Institution’s Dignity Grows with Competence and Responsibility,’ Says Speaker Devnani

Jaipur, June 30, 2026: A dignified farewell ceremony was organized at the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Tuesday to honor two retiring employees. In the esteemed presence of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani, Deputy Secretary Shri Bahadur Singh Meena and Jamadar Shri Narayan Lal Dhobi were given a warm and emotional send-off.
During the ceremony, Speaker Devnani honored the retiring personnel by presenting them with traditional turbans (safas), shawls, and mementos. He also extended his best wishes for their healthy, happy, and active post-retirement life.
“Promotions are a Right, but So is Responsibility”: Speaker
Addressing the gathering, Speaker Devnani highlighted his administrative priorities. He stated that since assuming the office of the Assembly Speaker, ensuring timely promotions for officers and employees has been his top priority.
Motivating the assembly staff, Shri Devnani shared key insights on work culture:
- Developing Capabilities: While receiving timely promotions is the right of every employee, it is equally essential to develop the capacity and efficiency required to discharge the new responsibilities that come with that higher post.
- Preparing for the Future: He urged employees not to limit themselves to their current roles but to actively learn the tasks of higher positions. They should always keep themselves prepared to handle higher responsibilities with efficiency and accountability.
- Elevating the Institution: When individuals adopt such a dedicated work culture, it not only ensures their personal growth but also takes the prestige and dignity of the entire institution to new heights.
Rajasthan Assembly Setting an Example for the Nation
Expressing immense pride, Shri Devnani stated that the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is rapidly becoming a role model for other legislative assemblies across the country due to its outstanding work culture, strict discipline, and continuous innovations.
He further shared that the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly will soon complete 75 years of its establishment. To commemorate this historic milestone, several significant programs will be organized under the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’. The Speaker called upon all officers and employees to work with mutual coordination, strong team spirit, and sheer dedication to make these upcoming events a grand success and further enhance the Assembly’s glory.
