Weekly Yoga Sessions to be Held at Religious and Tourist Sites in Bharatpur Ahead of International Yoga Day

In a bid to ensure the grand success of the upcoming International Yoga Day on June 21, a series of weekly yoga sessions will be organized at various religious and tourist sites in Bharatpur starting from June 14.

As part of a 30-day countdown initiative launched on May 20 by the Government Ayurvedic and Yoga Naturopathy College and District Ayurveda Hospital, these sessions aim to raise public awareness about the benefits of yoga. According to Deputy Superintendent Dr. Chandra Prakash Dixit, the sessions will be led by Yoga practitioner Dr. Priyanka Sharma along with students from the college.

The scheduled yoga sessions will take place at:

  • June 14: Keoladeo National Bird Sanctuary
  • June 15: Shri Banke Bihari Temple inside the Fort
  • June 16: Shri Kishori Mahal
  • June 17: Shri Ganga Temple
  • June 18: Shri Ganesh Temple
  • June 19: Museum and Nehru Park
  • June 20: District-level venue for final rehearsal based on the official Yoga Day protocol

Principal Dr. Yashpal Singh encouraged the general public to join these sessions in large numbers, not only for their personal well-being but also to inspire others to embrace yoga as a daily practice.
