Clash in Bharatpur’s Tatamadh Village After Ambedkar Jayanti Procession, Several Injured

Tension gripped Tatamadh village in the Sewar police station area of Bharatpur district after a dispute escalated into violence following an Ambedkar Jayanti procession. The incident, which began on April 14, 2026, has left several people injured and prompted heavy police deployment in the area.
According to local sources, members of the Jatav community had organized a procession for the first time in the village to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. During the procession, a minor argument reportedly broke out between participants and some individuals. Although the situation was initially brought under control by people present at the spot, tensions continued to simmer.
The following day, the situation worsened significantly. It is alleged that a group of individuals entered houses belonging to members of the Jatav community and attacked them using sticks and sharp weapons. In the attack, around six to seven people were injured. Some victims reportedly suffered head injuries, while others sustained internal wounds.

Upon receiving information, the Sewar police immediately reached the spot and took control of the situation. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police officials confirmed that some accused individuals were detained on the spot, and further action is being taken.
To prevent any further escalation, additional police forces have been deployed in the village. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to maintain law and order and ensure peace in the area.
Local residents have demanded strict action against those involved in the violence. Meanwhile, some social organizations have also appealed to people to maintain calm and have called for justice for the victims.
