A Major Journalism-Related Scandal Uncovered in Noida : Noida police have arrested Shazia Nisar, an anchor from the news channel Bharat 24, and Adarsh Jha, an anchor from Amar Ujala Digital, on charges of demanding ₹65 crore through extortion and threatening to falsely implicate senior officials in sexual harassment cases.

₹34.50 Lakh Cash Found at Residence –During the investigation, ₹34.50 lakh in cash was recovered from Shazia Nisar’s residence, underscoring the seriousness of the case. Police claim this amount is directly linked to the blackmailing scheme.

FIR Lodged by ‘Bharat 24’ Management-

The matter came to light when a complaint was filed by the management of Bharat 24. The channel’s Chairman, Jagdish Chandra, stated that Shazia and Adarsh were jointly trying to defame senior officials of the channel and were demanding a large sum of money by threatening to falsely accuse them of sexual harassment.

According to the police, preliminary investigations have found the allegations to be true. Both journalists were arrested and presented in court, which sent them to judicial custody. The police are continuing their investigation, suspecting the involvement of more individuals.**
