On Friday evening, Dholpur experienced a much-needed change in weather as pre-monsoon showers brought relief from scorching heat. The temperature, which had crossed 47°C, dropped significantly after the rainfall.

During the rain, a lightning strike injured a local resident named Bablu from Rajoura Kalan village. He has been admitted to Sainpau hospital for treatment. The Meteorological Department had earlier issued warnings for thunderstorms, strong winds, and rain across eastern Rajasthan.

The rain started around 4 PM and continued for about 45 minutes. However, local farmer Vineet Kumar Sharma said that the rain was not yet sufficient for crops, as soil moisture remains low. He mentioned that sowing for Kharif crops will likely begin by the end of June or early July.

Farmers remain optimistic that if the monsoon arrives on time and remains consistent, it will support timely sowing and healthy crop growth.
