Sacramento, USA: In a landmark event reflecting the global reach of the Ambedkarite movement, prominent social justice leader and Azad Samaj Party chief, Chandrashekhar Azad, attended the 135th birth anniversary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Sacramento, California.

The event, which saw a massive gathering of the Indian diaspora and social activists, has sent a powerful message of unity and resistance from American soil to the world.

A Grand Tribute at Royal Event Hall

The commemorative program was organized by the Sri Guru Ravidass Temple Sacramento Executive Committee and the Sadh Sangat. Held at the prestigious Royal Event Hall, the atmosphere was filled with slogans of “Jai Bhim” and “Jai Samvidhan.”

Chandrashekhar Azad, as the Chief Guest, paid floral tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He described Baba Saheb not just as a leader of the oppressed in India, but as a “Global Icon of Liberation” and a “Symbol of Knowledge” for all of humanity.

“Ideology Without Borders”

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Azad emphasized that the principles of Dr. Ambedkar are more relevant today than ever before. He stated:

“It is a matter of immense pride and honor for me to bow before the ideology of the Great Baba Saheb on international soil. His vision is not confined by geographical borders—it is as relevant in America today as it was and is in India.”

He further highlighted that the struggle for civil rights in the United States and the Dalit-Bahujan movement in India share a common soul—the quest for human dignity and equality.

The Solemn Vow: Justice for the Last Person

In a rousing speech that lasted over forty minutes, Azad expressed his deep gratitude to the Guru Ravidass Temple Trust and the supporters of social justice living in the United States. He clarified that his visit was not merely ceremonial but a call to action.

“This is not just a tribute; it is a solemn oath. We will not rest until the last person in the queue receives justice and their constitutional rights,” Azad declared, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.

Strengthening the Global Bahujan Movement

Political analysts view Azad’s visit to California as a strategic move to strengthen the international network of the Bahujan movement. By connecting with the influential NRI community and international human rights platforms, the movement aims to bring global attention to the issues of caste discrimination and social inequality in India.

The event concluded with prayers and a collective pledge to uphold the values of the Indian Constitution. As Azad continues his tour of the United States, his message remains clear: the fight for “Mission 2026” and beyond is now a global phenomenon.
