16 killed in Sydney terror attack, PM Albanese strongly condemns

Sydney, Australia – The death toll from a terrorist attack on Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday has risen to 16. The attack occurred as the Jewish community was celebrating Hanukkah. The attackers opened fire indiscriminately, killing several people, including a child.

According to police, two terrorists were involved in the attack. The attackers were a 50-year-old father and his 24-year-old son. They attempted to carry out the mass murder, but due to swift police action, one attacker was killed on the spot. The second suspect has been hospitalized in critical condition and is currently in stable condition.

Police also reported that explosive devices were recovered from a nearby vehicle and were safely removed.

Former US President Donald Trump also strongly condemned the terrorist attack. Calling it a “horrific” attack, he assured Australia of his full support. The FBI has also offered to assist Australian authorities in the investigation.
