Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad has been arrested by the Madhya Pradesh Police from Bhopal airport in Madhya Pradesh. Chandrashekhar had come to Madhya Pradesh to join the ongoing movement for OBC reservation.

However, Bhim Army officials tweeted that the police were already waiting for Chandrashekhar at the airport and he was taken into custody as soon as he came out. The same number of people who are going to join the movement are being stopped on the way. Following the same trend, some activists/officers tweeted, after the announcement of the demonstration of OBC organizations on 02nd January, the police have arrested the workers of the organization from place to place. Many people had gone near the MLA rest house since morning, all of them are said to be workers of OBC organizations.

Let us tell you that politics is in full swing regarding OBC reservation, after which the police is checking the trains and buses coming to Bhopal. Barricades are being checked on the roads entering the city. Police is getting tough after OBC organizations had announced the siege of CM residence today.

The police had earlier asked them to leave but they did not do so. After which the police took all of them into custody and sent them to other places by buses. OBC organizations are demanding for 27 percent reservation. Protests are angry over the ending of Backward Classes (OBC) reservation in urban body and panchayat elections.
