Rajasthan MSME Day 2026

On the occasion of International MSME Day (June 27, 2026), the Rajasthan government presented significant gifts to the state’s entrepreneurs, artisans, and startups. During a special event organized at the Constitutional Club in Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma distributed cheques worth over ₹13 crore, along with subsidies and land allotment letters to the beneficiaries. In addition, several new policies were announced to foster the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted that with more than 33 lakh MSME units, Rajasthan has now emerged as the fourth-largest MSME state in the country. He emphasized that the state government is working rapidly to coordinate heritage with development, aiming to make Rajasthan India’s leading industrial state. The recent ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ has also established a renewed sense of confidence for investment in the region.

Major Announcements by CM Bhajanlal Sharma

To accelerate the industrial development of the state, the Chief Minister made several key announcements during the event:

  • Development of Haat Bazaars: To provide a dedicated market for the products of artisans and weavers, Haats will be developed on a PPP model. Pushkar, Nathdwara, Jaisalmer, and Alwar have been selected for the first phase.
  • Support for Startups: Financial assistance will be provided to 25 new startups this year through the ‘Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund’.
  • Major Relief in RIPS-2024: Under the ‘Manufacturing Package’ for the electronics and semiconductor sector, the minimum investment limit has been reduced to ₹15 crore. Furthermore, the capital subsidy duration for MSMEs has been reduced from 10 years to 7 years.
  • Increase in Investment Phases: Projects falling under the Government of India’s ECMS scheme will now be permitted to invest in 5 phases instead of the current 3.
  • Hike in Training Allowance: The maximum monthly allowance for women and differently-abled personnel undergoing skills training in the electronics and semiconductor sectors has been increased from ₹4,000 to ₹6,000.
  • One District, One Product (ODOP): Financial assistance will be provided to vegetation processing units identified under the ‘Panch Gaurav Yojana’.

Doing Business Made Easier: Approvals in 30 Days

The Chief Minister shared that following the implementation of the ‘Direct Allotment Policy-2025’, more than 1,600 industrial plots have been allotted across the state in the past year. Providing immense relief to industries, the time limit for ‘Land Use Approval’ for MSME units in urban areas has been slashed from 60 days to just 30 days. Additionally, the approval required to start a new industry will now be granted in 30 days instead of 120 days. The ‘White Category’ of non-polluting industries has also been expanded from 104 to 877, benefiting thousands of small businesses.

Launch of New Industrial Policies and Parks

During the program, the Chief Minister officially launched the ‘Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy’, the ‘ODOP Coffee Table Book’, and the ‘RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) Portal’. Keeping future industrial demands in mind, the state is currently developing new hubs, including Solar Panel Manufacturing, Ceramic, Data Center, and Defense Manufacturing Parks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Industries and Commerce Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore stated that the government has approved 33 new industrial areas. Minister of State for Industries K.K. Vishnoi, MP Manju Sharma, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary Shikhar Agarwal, and Commissioner Nilabh Saxena, along with several other senior officials, were also present on the occasion.

Conclusion: The announcements made by the Rajasthan government on MSME Day are set to give a new direction to the state’s business landscape. With relaxed investment conditions, rapid approvals, and fresh financial assistance, local industries will receive a massive boost, simultaneously generating large-scale employment opportunities for the youth across the state.
