Water Conservation Drive in Karauli: Collector, MLA Lead Sanitation & Plantation Initiatives

A special event was held on Saturday at Yadav Wati Gaushala in Karauli under the ‘Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan’. The program was attended by District Collector Neelabh Saxena and MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar.

The event began with a cleanliness drive in the Gaushala, where Collector Saxena actively participated by sweeping the premises. He appealed to the public to initiate cleanliness drives in ponds, lakes, stepwells, and other water sources to promote water conservation. He emphasized that clean water bodies are essential for both sustainable water availability and public health.

During the program, the Collector and the MLA planted Banyan trees within the Gaushala premises and encouraged people to plant more trees during the monsoon season. They also performed a ritual worship of the cows and fed them jaggery and fodder.

Collector Saxena inspected the arrangements at the Gaushala, including shelter for animals, fodder availability, veterinary care, drinking water, and shade. The Gaushala committee presented some demands including road construction, to which the Collector assured prompt action.

The event was attended by Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Gangasahay Meena, Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations Department Dharmendra Kumar Meena, Dr. Munshilal Meena, Gaushala President Ravindra Singh, and several other officials.
