US increases control over TikTok: Trump administration makes major deal

Tiktok Deal : Amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding TikTok in the US, President Donald Trump announced a significant agreement this week, under which the popular video app will now be controlled by American investors. This move comes after TikTok was banned from app stores a few months ago, threatening its future.

Speaking to the media in the Oval Office on Thursday, Vice President J.D. Vance described the deal as a “balanced solution.” He said that while there was some disagreement from the Chinese side during the process, the ultimate goal was to ensure the data security of American users and keep the app operational.

Vance expressed confidence, saying, “People will now be able to use TikTok with greater confidence than ever before because their personal data will be secure and will not be used for any political or propaganda agenda.”While there has been no official response from the Chinese government regarding the agreement, Trump claims that the agreement has received the approval of the Chinese administration.

Under this new arrangement, an executive order has been issued that ensures that American investors will own a majority stake in TikTok. At the same time, the Chinese company ByteDance’s stake will be reduced to less than 20%.

This agreement is being considered a major turning point in American politics and the technology world, putting TikTok’s future in the US on a more stable path.
