Todabhim Municipality Observes ‘No Plastic Day’ Under Vande Ganga Water Conservation Campaign

Todabhim (Karauli): Under the banner of the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Campaign, the Todabhim Municipality celebrated “No Plastic Day” with a citywide awareness drive. The campaign was led by Executive Officer Hanuman Sharma, who emphasized the need to eliminate single-use plastics and promote eco-friendly alternatives.

During the drive, local shopkeepers were educated about the harmful impacts of plastic and polythene on the environment. They were encouraged to switch to cloth and paper bags. In a special inspection, 54 shopkeepers were found using single-use plastic, and a total penalty of ₹54,000 was imposed. The municipality also seized large quantities of polythene.

EO Hanuman Sharma appealed to the public and traders to avoid plastic bags and actively contribute to keeping Todabhim clean, green, and plastic-free.

The event was attended by JEN Prithviraj Gurjar, Senior Assistant Suresh Chand Meena, SBM Engineer Roop Singh Bairwa, Vishnu Meena, Parsharam Gurjar, Neeraj Parashar, Sanjay Jamadar, and other officials from the municipality.
