Kalawati Meena’s victory from Ward 15 of the Panchayat Samiti Sapotra, defeating Congress by 1,027 votes.

Karauli ( By Election 2025 ) | In the by-election held for Ward No. 15 of the Panchayat Samiti in Sapotra, Karauli district, BJP candidate Kalawati Meena secured a landslide victory. In this by-election, BJP candidate Kalawati Meena received 1,796 votes, while Congress candidate Poonam Meena received 769 votes. The margin of victory was 1,027 votes, leading to Kalawati Meena’s win and Congress candidate Poonam Meena’s defeat.

After the counting of votes, there was a wave of enthusiasm in the BJP camp. The vote counting process was completed under the supervision of Election Officer SDO Premraj Meena at the Panchayat Samiti Sapotra auditorium.

In the results announced on Monday (June 9), the BJP registered a sweeping victory. Out of 36 seats, BJP won 28 seats, while Congress secured only 4 seats. In contrast, during the previous general elections, BJP had won only 15 of these seats.
