A minor phone dispute turned deadly in Rajasthan’s Sikar district when over half a dozen youths brutally attacked 22-year-old Rahul Raigar. The incident occurred in Dantaramgarh, and after three days of treatment at a Jaipur hospital, Rahul succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening.

The Incident
According to a police complaint filed by Rahul’s brother, Manoj Raigar, on June 9, a verbal argument occurred on the phone between Rahul and two residents of Kankra village — Shivraj Khatik and Kamal Khatik — on Saturday. They later called Rahul to Mataji temple in Dansroli village under the pretense of resolving the matter.

Rahul went to the temple with a friend, where Shivraj, Kamal, and 4–5 others ambushed them. They assaulted Rahul with sticks and rods, leaving him critically injured on the spot.

Death During Treatment, Postmortem Scheduled
Rahul was referred to Jaipur for treatment and admitted to SMS Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he passed away on Tuesday evening. His body has been kept in the mortuary, and the postmortem will be conducted on Wednesday morning.

No Arrests Yet
As of now, police have not arrested any of the accused. Dantaramgarh police have launched a manhunt and are conducting raids at possible hideouts. The case is under investigation with top priority.
