Indian Woman Murder In America: Nikita Rao Godishla, a 27-year-old Indian woman who went missing on December 2nd in the United States, has been found dead. Police are searching for her ex-boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend is accused of murdering her and is alleged to have fled to India after the murder.
Howard County police said in a statement that the woman was found dead in the apartment of her 26-year-old ex-boyfriend, Arjun Sharma, in Columbia, Maryland. She was found with stab wounds.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Arjun Sharma on murder charges. It should be noted that Arjun Sharma had filed a missing person report for Nikita. In the report, he stated that he last saw Nikita Godishla in his apartment in Maryland on December 31st. Police investigations revealed that Arjun Sharma had left the country on a flight to India on January 2nd, the same day the report was filed. His apartment was searched the following day, where Nikita was found dead.
