Jaipur: The Rajasthan Government, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, has prioritized the agricultural sector in the 2026-27 budget. Recognizing Rajasthan as a water-scarce state, the new policies focus heavily on water conservation, solar energy, and direct income support for farmers.

From increasing the PM-Kisan financial aid to providing massive subsidies on modern equipment, these initiatives aim to make farming a sustainable and profitable profession. Here is everything you need to know about these groundbreaking schemes.

1. PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi: Rajasthan Hikes Aid to ₹9,000

In a significant move to support rural livelihoods, the Rajasthan Government has decided to augment the central PM-KISAN scheme with additional state funds. Eligible farmers in the state are now expected to receive a total of ₹9,000 per year. This direct cash transfer aims to help farmers cover the rising costs of seeds and fertilizers.

2. Micro-Irrigation Revolution: Up to 90% Subsidy

To tackle the groundwater crisis, the government is aggressively promoting Drip and Sprinkler Irrigation systems.

  • Small & Marginal Farmers: Can avail up to 90% subsidy on the total cost.
  • Impact: These systems reduce water consumption by nearly 40-60% while significantly improving crop yield and quality.

3. Solar Pump & Farm Pond Scheme

To eliminate the dependency on costly diesel and erratic electricity, heavy subsidies (ranging from 60% to 75%) are being provided for Solar Pumps. Additionally, financial assistance is available for constructing Farm Ponds to harvest rainwater, ensuring irrigation availability during dry spells.

4. MSP Bonus on Wheat Procurement

To ensure fair prices for produce, the state government has announced an additional bonus over the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat. This move is designed to protect wheat farmers from market fluctuations and increase their profit margins.

5. Rajasthan Agriculture Development Scheme (RajKVY)

The RajKVY is the state’s flagship program for modernizing agriculture. Key focus areas include:

  • Distribution of high-quality certified seeds.
  • Advanced Soil Health Management.
  • Subsidies on modern farm machinery and crop insurance under the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Harit Rajasthan mission.

How to Apply: A Step-by-Step Guide

Farmers can apply for these benefits through a transparent digital process:
