Under Operation Clean Sweep, Jaipur Commissionerate’s CST (Crime Surveillance Team) busted a major drug supply network. Acting on a tip-off, police raided the Khoh Nagoriyan area and arrested Ramroop Mali, a resident of Bamanwas, Sawai Madhopur, with 530 grams of smack worth ₹1.06 crore. He procured the drugs from Sanu Khan of Jhalawar.
The Trap and Arrest
DCP Crime Kundan Kanwariya said that 20 days ago, CST members Ravishankar and Madhuvan received intel about a suspect supplying smack twice a month in Jaipur. Surveillance was initiated, and Ramroop was arrested during a raid on Sunday.
Ramroop confessed he was a tractor driver in the stone supply business and joined the drug racket 4 months ago. He was paid ₹50,000 per trip and has already made 5-6 deliveries of over half a kilo per trip.
His Network in Jaipur
He admitted supplying to Ashok alias Telia Sansi, Vikki Sansi, and Pintu Sansi in Jaipur, who then sold the drugs at higher rates to small-scale peddlers. Police are now conducting raids to apprehend these dealers.
Modus Operandi
Money for the drugs was transferred via e-Mitra services before delivery. Due to strict checking at bus stands, Ramroop switched to train travel and avoided the main railway station to prevent detection.
53 Grams MDMA Seized, Two More Arrested
In a separate action, CST also nabbed Indrapal Suthar (Pidwa, Jhalawar) and Shambhu Lal Suthar (Pagariya, Jhalawar) with 53 grams of MDMA, worth around ₹2 lakh, near Shivdaspura during a checkpoint. The duo confessed to sourcing drugs from Arbaaz Khan alias Raju, a resident of Dug, Jhalawar. They have reportedly made four such deliveries in the last five months.
