NEET 2026: Strict Security in Karauli; Section 163 Imposed Near 11 Exam Centers to Curb Malpractice

KARAULI / HINDAUN CITY: In a major move to conduct the upcoming National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in a transparent and peaceful manner, the Karauli district administration has implemented stringent security protocols. District Collector and District Magistrate Akshay Godara has issued orders to impose prohibitory measures under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (formerly Section 144) around 11 designated examination centers.
Key Exam Centers Under Vigilance
The restrictions will be active around major institutions in both Karauli and Hindaun City, including:
- Karauli Area: PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Government PG College-A, Government Polytechnic College, and Swami Vivekananda Model School, among others.
- Hindaun City Area: PM Shri Government Higher Secondary School, Government Girls College, and Mahatma Gandhi Government School.
Duration of Restrictions
According to the official order, these restrictions will be in effect from the midnight of May 2 (11:30 PM) until the midnight of May 3 (11:30 PM).
Major Prohibitions and Guidelines
To maintain the sanctity of the examination, the following activities are strictly prohibited within a 300-meter radius of the centers:
- Public Gathering: Assemblies of five or more people are strictly banned, excluding candidates and authorized exam personnel.
- Closure of Commercial Shops: All photocopy shops, cyber cafes, and E-Mitra centers within the 300-meter perimeter must remain closed during the examination period.
- Electronic Gadgets: The use of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and smartwatches is strictly prohibited.
- Noise and Weapons: Use of loudspeakers, creating noise, carrying any form of weapons (including sticks or explosives), and parking unauthorized vehicles are completely banned.
Strict Legal Action
District Magistrate Akshay Godara emphasized that any individual found violating these orders will face rigorous punitive action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
