Sapotra (Karauli) | On Friday, 20-year-old college student Manisha Prajapat committed suicide by hanging herself in her room in Sapotra due to fear of public shame after her tenant raped her. The deceased’s brother said that seven days ago, the accused said that when he vacates the room, he will commit a big crime. The student wanted to become a teacher.

The deceased’s grandmother was at home –

The father alleged that on Thursday he had gone to his in-laws’ house with his elder son and daughter-in-law. The wife had gone for muster roll and the deceased’s grandmother was at home. The deceased’s father said that on Friday his younger son called and told that something had happened to his daughter. Because of this, her mother is crying. You come home soon. When he came home from his in-laws’ house, his daughter’s body was found lying in the veranda of the house. The wife said that the daughter committed suicide by hanging herself with a saree from the iron pipe on the roof.

Accusation of the deceased’s father –

The father alleged that the accused Dharamraj raped his daughter forcefully. Due to this, the daughter committed suicide out of fear of public shame.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the family –

On receiving information about the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary and Police Station Incharge Dhara Singh Meena along with the police team reached the spot and kept the body of the deceased in the mortuary of Sub District Hospital Sapotra. Due to the absence of a female doctor, the body of the deceased was sent to General Hospital Karauli for postmortem. From where, after the postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to the family on Saturday. The police showed promptness and arrested the accused.
