Hindaun City, June 10, 2025 – District Collector Neelabh Saxena held a key meeting at the SDM office on Tuesday to assess the city’s preparedness for the monsoon. The focus was on cleaning the Khari Nala and reviewing the new Drainage Project Report (DPR).

Collector directed the municipal council to complete cleaning of the Khari Nala within 15 days. He pointed out that improper slope alignment at six locations is causing waterlogging. To address this, construction of new chambers has been ordered.

As per the new DPR, five major drainage lines are planned for the city. The DPR has already been submitted to the municipality and awaits financial approval. The Collector emphasized regular cleaning and debris removal from existing drains.

Local Market Concerns Addressed
Traders from Katra Bazaar raised concerns over garbage accumulation at Damp Road junction and vehicle parking issues. To ease the situation, the Collector instructed the use of the Tanga Stand near Sadar Police Station as a temporary parking facility.

Officials from the municipal council confirmed that tenders for Khari Nala cleaning and new chambers have been issued, and work will commence shortly.

The meeting was attended by SDM Hemraj Gurjar, Trade Association President Ajay Mittal, municipal officers, local shopkeepers, and public representatives.
