Jaipur, June 2, 2026:
The Crime Branch (CID) of the Rajasthan Police has announced a cash reward for a specialized police team that successfully resolved a highly sensitive kidnapping case originally registered in 2016. According to an official order issued by the Additional Director General of Police, CID (Crime) Rajasthan, Shri Bipin Kumar Pandey, a total reward amount of ₹25,000 will be distributed among the key police officers and investigators involved in the breakthrough.
Resolving long-pending cold cases is an ongoing priority for the state administration to reinforce public trust in the law enforcement framework and demonstrate long-term institutional accountability.
The Breakthrough and Key Personnel Honored
As per the administrative order, four dedicated personnel from the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) and the Office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Dausa will be rewarded with an equal cash incentive of ₹6,250 each for their exemplary coordination and investigation techniques.
The personnel selected for this state-level commendation include:
- Shri Deepak Kumar: Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and In-charge of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Dausa.
- Shri Naveen Kumar: Head Constable, ST-SC Cell.
- Shri Laxmikant: Head Constable, Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
- Shri Bhagwan Sahay: Constable, ST-SC Cell.
Case Background: FIR 145/2016
The reward traces back to a criminal case registered a decade ago at the Sadar Police Station in Dausa district under FIR No. 145/2016. The case was filed under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to kidnapping or abducting with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person.
The investigation centered around a missing young man, Shri Suresh Meena, son of Shri Rampratap Meena, a resident of Shahjanpur (Village and Post Rahuwas, under the Ramgarh Pachwara Police Station jurisdiction in Dausa district). Through persistent tracking, localized intelligence gathering, and dedicated efforts, the commended police unit successfully traced and safely recovered (dastayab) the youth, bringing a long-standing investigation to a successful close.
Recognizing such meticulous investigative work through financial incentives and official citations not only boosts the morale of the local police force but also encourages a proactive approach toward clearing unresolved systemic grievances.
