An atmosphere of great enthusiasm prevails across the district regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Balotra on July 4 and the much-awaited inauguration of the Rajasthan Refinery. In line with these preparations and with the goal of making the city clean and beautiful, the district administration is conducting a special cleanliness drive. On the second day of this campaign, Sunday, Minister in Charge Shri Joraram Kumawat and Secretary in Charge Shri Harjilal Atal set a powerful example for the public by participating in ‘Shramdaan’ (voluntary labor).
Cleanliness Drive from Gulab Circle to Bus Stand
During the Shramdaan program held in the Gulab Circle area of Pachpadra, Minister in Charge Joraram Kumawat and Secretary in Charge Harjilal Atal, along with administrative officers and public representatives, personally wielded brooms to clean the streets. Accompanied by Pachpadra MLA Dr. Arun Chaudhary, Rajasthan Refinery CEO Shri Kamlakar, and other prominent figures, they marched from Gulab Circle to the Bus Stand road, cleaning the area as they went. During the drive, the statue of Seth Gulab Chand Salecha at Gulab Circle was also cleaned with water.
Removing Encroachments and Promoting a Mass Movement
Alongside the cleaning efforts, the administration took action to remove encroachments obstructing roadsides to ensure smoother traffic flow. Minister Joraram Kumawat appealed to citizens to view cleanliness not merely as a government campaign but as a daily habit. He emphasized that the Swachh Bharat mission, initiated by Prime Minister Modi, has transformed into a nationwide mass movement, which is an essential pillar in realizing the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
Rajasthan Refinery: A New Path to Development
The Minister in Charge stated that the dedication of the Rajasthan Refinery to the nation will completely transform the industrial and economic landscape of Rajasthan. It will attract new investments and open wide avenues of employment for local youth. He urged every citizen to take responsibility for keeping the city beautiful and organized for this historic occasion.
Conclusion: This collective effort by the administration, public representatives, and the general public in Balotra is not only preparing the city for the Prime Minister’s visit but is also spreading significant awareness regarding hygiene. Such events strengthen the sense of responsibility among citizens toward public spaces, fostering a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
