The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is set to host a major event in the realm of digital transformation. The ’29th National e-Governance Conference’ (NCeG) will be inaugurated grandly at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) on July 1 and 2, 2026. Himanshu Gupta, Commissioner and Special Secretary of the Department of Information Technology and Communication, inspected the venue and finalized preparations on Sunday.

Inauguration and Key Guests

This two-day prestigious conference is being organized under the joint auspices of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, and the Government of Rajasthan.

  • Inauguration: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will formally inaugurate the conference on July 1. In the inaugural session, Minister of Information Technology and Communication, Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, will address the gathering and share the roadmap for digital innovations in the state.
  • Valedictory and Awards: The concluding session and award distribution ceremony will take place on July 2. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, will be the Chief Guest. He will confer the ‘National e-Governance Awards 2026’ upon winners who have demonstrated excellence in e-governance across the country.

Main Theme: ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’

This year’s conference is themed ā€œViksit Bharat 2047: AI-Enabled, Data-Driven, and Secure Digital Governance.ā€ The core objective is to strengthen collaboration between central and state governments, industry leaders, and academic institutions. It aims to exchange best practices and deliberate on new dimensions of digital governance to realize the vision of a developed India by 2047.

The conference will feature 6 plenary sessions and 6 breakout sessions for in-depth discussion on administrative and technical aspects of digital governance.
