An Air India Express flight (IX-2749) scheduled to depart from Jaipur to Bengaluru at 11:30 AM on Friday failed to take off due to technical issues. After three delays throughout the day and no proper amenities, the airline finally cancelled the flight citing an engine malfunction.
Passengers, who had waited over seven hours, expressed their anger and gathered in the airport lobby, demanding alternate flights or immediate refunds. However, the airline initially denied refunds, further escalating tensions among the 200 affected passengers.
Many travellers accused the airline of mishandling the situation, providing no food, water, or proper communication. One passenger, Siddhant, said the airline treated flyers with “complete negligence.” Another traveller, Kunal Parashar, urged government action against such irresponsible behaviour to ensure passenger rights are protected in the future.
