The world has high hopes for India; the country is ready to move forward with new resolve in 2026.

Jaipur, Rajasthan – Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Sunday in the 129th episode of the “Mann Ki Baat” program. This was the last episode of the program in the year 2025. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the country’s achievements and successes in various fields in 2025 and expressed hope that 2026 would prove to be an important milestone in achieving the goal of a developed India.

Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma listened to the “Mann Ki Baat” program along with the public at the Chief Minister’s residence.

In his address, the Prime Minister said that the country achieved significant achievements in various fields, including space, science, technology, sports, and the environment, in 2025. He said that the organization of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and the historic flag hoisting at the Ayodhya temple made every Indian proud.

The country is ready to move forward in 2026 with new hopes and resolutions.

The Prime Minister said that the entire world has great expectations from India due to our youth power. Youth are making significant contributions to nation-building through their hard work, dedication, and creative ideas.

He stated that the Vikasit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 will be held next year on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, providing an important platform for young people to share their ideas. Discussing the rapid changes taking place in people’s lives in this technological era, Mr. Modi spoke about the enthusiastic participation of youth in the Smart India Hackathon 2025.

He also spoke about the Geetanjali IISc program being held at the Indian Institute of Science. At the event, the Prime Minister discussed the solution to the electricity problem in Manipur through solar energy, the self-reliance of women through bamboo handicraft products, and floriculture.

He also mentioned the ancient cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir and the Kutch Ranotsav.The Prime Minister noted that the country will celebrate its 77th Republic Day next month.

Many people made significant contributions to the country’s independence, but they did not receive the respect they deserved. Parvati Giri of Odisha was one such freedom fighter who, in addition to participating in the freedom movement, also served the society by establishing orphanages.

Speaking about the promotion of Indian languages across the country and the world, Mr. Modi said that the establishment of a Kannada school by Kannada families in Dubai and the celebration of Tamil Day in a school in Fiji are important steps in this direction. He added that through events like the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, children from Hindi-speaking states are being taught other languages, allowing children in Uttar Pradesh to speak Tamil fluently.

Expressing concern over the ineffectiveness of antibiotics against diseases like pneumonia, Mr. Modi advised avoiding their use without medical consultation. He also emphasized the importance of staying healthy by incorporating exercise into daily routines.

MLA Dr. Gopal Sharma, former MLA Mr. Ramlal Sharma, various public representatives, and a large number of members of the public were present during the event.
