Chittorgarh, Rajasthan : Among the array of indigenous products on display at the National Swadeshi Festival 2025, leather products manufactured by the Pehchan Ismailpur Leather Producer Company Limited are a major attraction for visitors. The high-quality and attractive leather products, crafted with the artisans’ hard work and traditional skills, are receiving widespread appreciation from festival visitors.
This producer organization was established on April 28, 2023, with financial support from NABARD. Currently, it has become a powerful source of livelihood for 201 leather artisans. The organization’s unique feature is that all the artisans are shareholders, and the entire profit is distributed among them, providing them with economic strength and self-respect.
The platform of the National Swadeshi Festival has not only provided these artisans with an opportunity to showcase their skills on a wide scale, but has also given them the confidence to move forward towards a self-reliant India. Visitors are praising the quality, design, and craftsmanship of the indigenous leather products.
This initiative is playing a vital role in connecting rural artisans with the market and giving a new identity to indigenous products, realizing the resolve of ‘Vocal for Local’.
