Surprise Inspection of Three Sonography Centers in Karauli to Enforce PCPNDT Act

To ensure strict compliance with the PCPNDT (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques) Act in Karauli, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Jayantilal Meena conducted a surprise inspection of three sonography centers on Monday.

The CMHO visited Bhagwan Mahaveer Hospital, Paras Sonography Center, and SR Sonography Center. During the inspection, he reviewed all key documents including F-forms, registration registers, and visit logs. The center operators were directed to provide quality services and strictly follow PCPNDT regulations.

District Program Coordinator Nagina Sharma gathered information on active tracking systems and emphasized strengthening the informer scheme through enhanced IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) activities. DPC-IEC Lakhan Singh Lodha was also present during the inspection.

This action aims to curb gender-biased sex selection and ensure transparent, ethical diagnostic services in the district. All centers were instructed to maintain accurate and timely records.
