Karauli: In response to rising temperatures and heatwave conditions, the Karauli district administration has revised school timings for the safety of students. District Collector and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority, Akshay Godara, issued the ą¤†ą¤¦ą„‡ą¤¶ under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

According to the directive, from April 27 to May 16, 2026, school timings for students up to Class 8 will be from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. However, there will be no change in the schedule for students of Classes 9 to 12 and all school staff, whose timings will remain unchanged.

The Collector has instructed all government and private schools to strictly comply with the order. Any violation by school authorities will invite strict action as per rules.

This decision has been taken based on the proposal of the Chief District Education Officer and an assessment of prevailing weather conditions, keeping student welfare and safety as the top priority.
