JAIPUR: In a major update for higher education aspirants in Rajasthan, the Directorate of College Education, Jaipur, has officially released the guidelines for the ‘Vidya Sambal Yojana’ for the academic session 2026-27. This initiative aims to invite eligible candidates as guest faculty to fill vacant teaching positions across various government colleges in the state, ensuring that students’ academic progress remains unhindered.

The application process is entirely offline and is scheduled to be completed within June 2026. This timeline ensures that teaching staff are well-positioned before the new academic session commences in July.

Eligibility, Age Limit, and Selection Criteria

Educational Qualifications & Merit Evaluation: There will be no written exam or interview for this recruitment. Selection will be based strictly on an objective educational scorecard calculated out of a maximum of 100 points, aligned with UGC norms:

  • Post-Graduation Score: Maximum 25 points
  • M.Phil / Ph.D.: Maximum 25 points
  • NET / SET / SLET: Maximum 10 points
  • Research Publications: Maximum 6 points

Honorarium and Work Regulations

Selected educators will receive a competitive honorarium calculated on an hourly basis:

  • Per Lecture Remuneration: ₹800
  • Weekly Work Limit: A maximum of 14 hours of teaching per week is permitted.
  • Payment Disbursement: Honorarium payments will be processed directly into the candidate’s bank account upon the successful completion of every 50-lecture block.

Since the application pipeline is completely localized and offline, candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official higher education portal hte.rajasthan.gov.in or approach the respective government college to get the official Vidya Sambal Yojana application format.
  2. Fill in all required fields, including personal data, comprehensive academic scores, and contact details.
  3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all essential documents (Class 10th & 12th certificates, Graduation & PG mark sheets, NET/Ph.D. certificates, Domicile certificate, and valid Teaching Experience certificates).
  4. Submit the physical application packet directly to the office of the Principal of the respective government college either in person or via registered post by June 20, 2026.
  5. Following submission, individual colleges will verify the documents and publish a subject-wise merit list to call candidates as per immediate vacancies.
