Preeti Kumari, wife of Rajasthan Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, passed away on Thursday morning due to a silent attack. She had eaten dinner and gone to sleep at night, but did not wake up the next morning. When family members tried to wake her, she did not respond. She was taken to a nearby private hospital, Durlabhji, where doctors declared her dead. The last rites will be held on Friday at 9 AM in Khimsar (Nagaur).
Doctors stated that she suffered a silent attack, which caused her death during sleep. After the incident, a medical team visited the minister’s residence to provide initial treatment, but there was no improvement.
About Preeti Kumari and Family
Gajendra Singh Khimsar married Preeti Kumari in February 1982. They have a son, Dhananjay Singh Khimsar, who is the president of the Jodhpur Cricket Association, and a daughter.
Preeti Kumari was actively involved in social service as a trustee of the Khimsar Foundation. She worked for women’s empowerment and equality, besides being active in the family business.
Preeti Kumari belonged to a former royal family of Gamph village in Dholera Taluka, Ahmedabad.
Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar’s Programs Postponed
Gajendra Singh Khimsar is the in-charge minister of Bikaner. All his programs scheduled for Thursday have been postponed due to his wife’s demise.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy CM Diya Kumari, former CM Vasundhara Raje, CM Gehlot, Assembly Speaker Devanani, and Opposition Leader Tikaram Juli have expressed condolences.
