IPL Betting Busted in Jaipur: Major Bookie Arrested During Final Match

Jaipur: In a major crackdown on illegal betting, Jaipur Crime Branch and SOG arrested a bookie involved in IPL 2025 final match betting. The operation was carried out in Flat No. 101 of an apartment in the Ramnagariya area.

Police Raid and Seizure

According to DCP (Crime) Kundan Kanwaria, acting on a tip-off, the police obtained a search warrant and raided the apartment during the RCB vs Kings XI Punjab final match. The accused, Manish Mulchandani (36), resident of Sector-23, Pratap Nagar (currently living in Ramnagariya), was found accepting bets and was taken into custody.

Items recovered from the scene include:

• Betting records worth crores of rupees
• 2 mobile phones
• 1 tablet
• 1 LED TV with set-top box
• Mobile charger and accessories

Accused’s Confession

During interrogation, Manish confessed to operating betting activities on various cricket matches. He admitted using an online ID provided by a person named Bhavesh Bachyani to manage bets during the IPL final.

Further Investigation

The police are now interrogating Manish for details about his network and potential connections with larger interstate betting syndicates. Officials believe that the accused may be part of a broader illegal gambling operation.
