North Western Railway to run over 8 special trains for Raksha Bandhan rush

In view of the anticipated passenger rush during the Raksha Bandhan festival, the North Western Railway (NWR) has announced the operation of more than eight special trains connecting various cities of Rajasthan with Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, and Delhi. These services aim to provide better travel convenience during the festive season.

According to NWR Chief Public Relations Officer Shashi Kiran, these trains will have halts at all major stations, and their coach composition has been decided based on passenger demand. The trains will include Second AC, Third AC, Third AC Economy, Sleeper, and General class coaches.

Major Special Trains and Schedules

  1. Udaipur Cityโ€“Jaipur Special (09601)
    Departs Udaipur at 8:25 PM on 9 August, arrives Jaipur at 6:50 AM next day. Stops at Rana Pratapnagar, Mavli, Kapasan, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Nasirabad, Ajmer, Kishangarh.
  2. Jaipurโ€“Bandra Terminus Special (09725/09726)
    Departs Jaipur at 8:25 AM on 10 August, reaches Bandra at 4:55 AM next day. Return on 11 August at 9:30 AM from Bandra, arriving Jaipur at 6:45 AM on 12 August. Major halts: Kishangarh, Ajmer, Nasirabad, Bijainagar, Mandal, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Borivali.
  3. Hisarโ€“Hadapsar (Pune) Superfast Special (04725/04726)
    Departs Hisar at 5:50 AM on 10 August, arrives Hadapsar at 10:45 AM next day. Return on 11 August at 5:00 PM, reaching Hisar at 10:25 PM on 12 August. Halts at Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Ringas, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Nagda, Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Kalyan, Pune.
  4. Bhagat Ki Kothiโ€“Bandra Terminus Special (04827/04828)
    Departs Bhagat Ki Kothi at 2:30 PM on 10 August, arrives Bandra at 7:25 AM next day. Return on 11 August at 10:30 AM, reaching Bhagat Ki Kothi at 4:30 AM on 12 August.
  5. Madarโ€“Rohtak Special (09639/09640, Daily)
    Runs daily till 10 August. Departs Madar at 4:30 AM, arrives Rohtak at 12:50 PM. Return from Rohtak at 1:20 PM, reaching Madar at 10:35 PM.
  6. Bandra Terminusโ€“Sanganer (Jaipur) Superfast Special (09023/09024)
    Departs Bandra at 4:45 PM on 14 August, arrives Sanganer at 12:30 PM next day. Return on 15 August at 4:50 PM, reaching Bandra at 11:15 AM on 16 August.
  7. New Delhiโ€“Rewari Special (04493/04494)
    Departs New Delhi at 10:20 AM on 9 August, arrives Rewari at 12:30 PM. Returns same day at 2:30 PM from Rewari, reaching Delhi at 5:00 PM.
  8. Ajmerโ€“Valsad Special (09611/09612)
    Departs Ajmer at 1:00 PM on 11 August, arrives Valsad at 8:30 AM on 12 August. Return at 1:00 PM on 12 August from Valsad, arriving Ajmer at 9:55 AM on 13 August. 18-coach composition includes 1 Second AC, 6 Third AC, 7 Sleeper, 2 General, and 2 Guard coaches.

These special services are aimed at ensuring safe and comfortable journeys for passengers during the festive rush.
