KARAULI (RAJASTHAN): In a bid to strengthen public health infrastructure and ensure the success of upcoming medical campaigns, the District Health Committee held a high-level meeting on Friday. Presiding over the session, District Collector Akshay Godara issued stringent directives to medical officers to ensure seamless coordination and proactive outreach.

Focus on HPV Vaccination: Debunking Myths

The primary agenda of the meeting was the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination drive. Collector Akshay Godara emphasized the need for healthcare workers to collaborate closely with the Education Department.

Addressing the officials, he stated:

“Medical teams must visit schools to motivate girls aged 14–15 to get vaccinated. It is crucial to engage with parents through various channels to dispel any myths or misconceptions surrounding the HPV vaccine to ensure 100% coverage.”

‘Maa-Yojana’: Enhancing Hospital Infrastructure

The Collector also stressed the effective implementation of the ‘Maa-Yojana’ at health centers. He instructed medical institutions to maximize ‘claim booking’ under this scheme. The funds generated from these claims will be reinvested into the medical centers to expand services and improve the quality of healthcare provided to the public.

Review of Land Disputes and Departmental Progress

During the meeting, the District Collector reviewed pending land-related issues concerning health centers and ordered their immediate resolution. Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Satish Chand Meena presented a detailed status report via a PPT presentation, covering several key metrics:

  • Sex Ratio: Current statistics and strategies for improvement in the district.
  • Complete Immunization: Strategies to increase the coverage of routine pediatric vaccines.
  • Lado Yojana & NQAS: Reviewing the status of girl-child safety schemes and National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification for hospitals.
  • JSY: Assessing the payment status and benefits distribution under the Janani Suraksha Yojana.

Key Officials in Attendance

The meeting was attended by Additional District Collector Hemraj Paridwal, CEO Lakhan Singh, CDEO, District Program Manager Ashutosh Pandey, DTO Dharmendra Kumar, and all Block Chief Medical Officers (BCMOs) and Medical Officers in Charge.
