In a major crackdown under Operation Smack Out, the Sadar Police Station and DST Team in Hindaun City (Karauli district) have arrested a drug peddler from Bharatpur and seized nearly 4 kilograms of ganja.

According to Station Officer Devendra Sharma, the accused has been identified as Pankaj Jat, a resident of Parsawada in Bharatpur district. While patrolling near Kalsada-Mahu Road, the police spotted a suspicious person on a scooter who tried to change his route on seeing the patrol team.

The police stopped him and searched his scooter, recovering 3.993 kg of ganja packed in a plastic sack. Both the contraband and the scooter used for transportation have been seized.

Interrogation is underway to uncover the supply chain and network involved in this drug trade.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of SHO Devendra Sharma and DST in-charge Devesh Kumar. The team included ASI Ranjan Lal, Sanjay Kumar, Pradhan, Shivsinh, Shyam Singh, Amol from Sadar police station, and Akash Solanki, Dharmveer Singh, and Ravi Singh from the DST.
