On Tuesday, heavy monsoon rains lashed parts of Jaipur, Kota, and Bharatpur divisions. Districts like Karauli, Dausa, Bharatpur, and Alwar received up to 2 inches of rainfall. Bharatpur’s CM Public Grievance Centre at Traffic Chauraha was submerged under half a foot of water.

Alwar faced flood-like conditions with roads turning into rivers. Vehicles were stranded, and water entered key locations like the Women’s Police Station, hospitals, bus stand, Hope Circus market, and Aerodrome Road.

In Dholpur, the court complex and Santoshi Mata Temple were waterlogged. A wall collapse in Bichhiya village killed one cattle and injured a man. The Sempau-Bari ring road was washed out, halting transportation.

The Weather Department issued an Orange Alert for heavy rainfall in Bundi, Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Banswara, Udaipur, and Rajsamand. A Yellow Alert is in effect for most other districts.

Rainfall data included: Alwar’s Rajgarh – 51mm, Khairthal – 50mm; Bharatpur’s Uchain – 43mm, Bayana – 36mm, Rarah – 50mm. Rajasthan has received 122% above normal rainfall since June 1.

Meteorologists expect strong monsoon activity to continue for the next 3–4 days due to active cyclonic circulation and low-pressure systems near the region.
