Gonda ( Uttar Pradesh ) – A heart-wrenching road accident took place in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday morning. A Bolero vehicle full of devotees went out of control and fell into the Saryu canal in Itiyathok police station area, killing 11 people on the spot. 9 members of the same family are said to be among the dead.
According to the information received, the accident happened around 10 am when the devotees travelling in the Bolero were going to offer water at the Prithvinath temple.
There were a total of 15 people in the Bolero, but on the way the vehicle suddenly went out of control and overturned directly into the canal.After the accident, the villagers present on the banks of the canal heard the screams and immediately reached the spot and started relief and rescue work.
On receiving the information, the police and administration team also reached the spot and started relief work.The death of 11 people has been confirmed at the spot itself, while four other injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment. The condition of the injured is said to be critical.
