Bihar Politics ( India ) : Discussions about Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, stepping into politics have circulated for years. Now, those conversations appear to be moving toward reality. Senior JD(U) leader and Bihar minister Shravan Kumar has indicated that an official announcement regarding Nishant’s political entry may be made soon.

Formal Announcement Expected

Speaking on Tuesday, Shravan Kumar said that Nishant Kumar is set to begin his journey in active politics. He noted that many young supporters across the state have long encouraged him to take on a public role. According to the minister, the party will soon make a formal declaration confirming the move.

The development has generated fresh interest within the Janata Dal (United), where workers have reportedly welcomed the possibility of new leadership energy.

JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar also responded to the speculation, stating that party members have been hopeful about Nishant joining politics. He emphasized that decisions regarding positions such as Rajya Sabha nominations would be taken by the party’s top leadership, but added that Nishant’s credentials should not be questioned.
