Jat Community’s Mahapanchayat: ‘Hunkar Rally’ Announced for June 29

Bharatpur – The Jat community has once again raised its voice demanding rightful inclusion under the OBC reservation category. During a Mahapanchayat held at Chamad Mata Temple in Kumher, it was unanimously decided that a “Hunkar Rally” will be organized on June 29 across Bharatpur, Dholpur, and Deeg districts.

Nemi Singh Foujdar, the convener of the Jat Reservation Sangharsh Samiti, emphasized that the Jat community in these three districts has been demanding OBC reservation status from the central government for the past 25 years. However, successive governments have only offered assurances without taking concrete action.

Foujdar highlighted the plight of candidates selected between 2015 and 2017, who are still awaiting appointments despite favorable High Court orders. He called this delay unfortunate and unjust.

The Mahapanchayat also reiterated the demand for the establishment of the Maharaja Surajmal Kalyan Board to ensure the community’s welfare. Additionally, it was strongly demanded that all legal cases registered during previous reservation protests be withdrawn to prevent any negative impact on the youth’s future.

The community warned that if these demands continue to be ignored, the agitation would intensify and take a larger form.
