US airstrike on ISIS targets in Nigeria, video of attack surfaces

United States – The United States has launched a major attack on ISIS targets in Nigeria. The US carried out an airstrike in Northwest Nigeria. A video of the airstrike has also been released. US President Donald Trump announced this attack on social media.

Attack over the killings of Christians

Donald Trump stated in a post on Truth Social that this attack on ISIS in Northwest Nigeria was carried out to target terrorists responsible for the killings of Christians. Trump further wrote, “Tonight, at my direction as Commander-in-Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly attack against ISIS terrorist groups in Northwest Nigeria.”

Trump further said, “These ISIS terrorists have been targeting and brutally killing innocent Christians for years, indeed centuries. I have warned these terrorists before that if they do not stop the massacre of Christians, they will face dire consequences, and that is what happened tonight.”

The Department of War released footage of the airstrikes on the social media platform X. The Department of War said the strikes continued overnight and described the operation as a demonstration of “peace through strength.”
