High-Level Uttarakhand Delegation Reaches Jaipur to Study Rajasthan’s Social Security Schemes

Jaipur, June 29, 2026: A high-level delegation from the Uttarakhand Government arrived in Jaipur to study the successful social security and public welfare schemes implemented in Rajasthan.
On Monday, Rajasthanās Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Avinash Gehlot, warmly welcomed Uttarakhand’s Minister for Social Welfare, Minority Welfare, Student Welfare, and Languages, Shri Khajan Das, and his accompanying delegation at the auditorium situated in Ambedkar Bhawan. During the meeting, Minister Gehlot briefed the visiting delegation on the various welfare schemes being run by the Rajasthan Government.
Detailed Presentation on Welfare Schemes
Shri Avinash Gehlot stated that under the compassionate leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the department is successfully benefiting eligible individuals through its welfare initiatives. The delegation was given a detailed overview of various public welfare schemes through a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT).
During the session, the Uttarakhand delegation was provided comprehensive information about key initiatives, including:
- Anuprati Yojana
- Mukhyamantri Punarvas Grih (Chief Minister’s Rehabilitation Home)
- Navjeevan Yojana
- Palanhar Yojana
- Schemes dedicated to the welfare of Nomadic, Semi-nomadic, and De-notified Communities
- Various activities and programs under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation
Focus on Implementation and Guidelines
Shri Khajan Das and the members of the delegation gathered in-depth information regarding the implementation processes, policies and guidelines, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), budget announcements, physical and financial progress, and the effective execution of these schemes. All necessary documents and literature related to the schemes were also made available to the delegation.
Key Officials Present
The meeting was attended by prominent officials from both states. From the Uttarakhand Government, Additional Secretary Shri Prakash Chandra (IAS) and Director Shri Lalit Kumar were present. Also in attendance were General Manager Shri Om Prakash Meena, Additional Director (Vigilance & Administration) Shri Pankaj Ojha, Additional Director Smt. Reena Sharma, Additional Director Shri Ashok Kumar, Joint Director Shri Suwalal Pahadiya, along with all the scheme in-charges of the department.
The Uttarakhand delegation expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Rajasthan Government for sharing detailed insights and necessary documents pertaining to the departmental schemes.
