Karauli, June 11 — Tigress T-135 has given birth to two cubs in the Kailadevi Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Rajasthan’s Karauli district. The forest department’s camera traps in the Nainiyaki range of the Sapotra forest division captured images of the tigress along with her newborn cubs, marking a major milestone for wildlife conservation in the region.
Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) Piyush Sharma informed that special security measures have been initiated to protect the mother and her cubs. Additional camera traps have been installed, and the number of patrolling teams has been increased to monitor the movement and safety of the tigress and her cubs.
Earlier this year in February, Tigress T-2303 also gave birth to two cubs in the Mandrayal forest range. Kailadevi Sanctuary is part of the buffer zone of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and has seen regular tiger movement in recent years. This is the fourth instance of a tigress giving birth within the sanctuary — a promising sign for tiger conservation efforts in Rajasthan.
