Leh/Jodhpur :Renowned climate activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk, who was arrested earlier today in Leh, has now been shifted to Jodhpur Central Jail in Rajasthan under tight security arrangements.
The move comes after the Jammu and Kashmir administration invoked the National Security Act (NSA) against Wangchuk, citing concerns over “provoking unrest” during ongoing protests in the Leh region.
Sources in the administration confirmed that Wangchuk was flown out of Leh in a special aircraft, accompanied by a strong contingent of security personnel. Upon landing in Jodhpur, he was immediately taken to the high-security wing of the central jail.
