On May 30, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met 14-year-old cricket prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family at Patna Airport. The brief interaction occurred as PM Modi concluded a two-day visit to Bihar. During the meeting, the Prime Minister lauded Vaibhav’s exceptional performances in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), highlighting his rapid rise in the cricketing world.

Over seven matches, he accumulated 252 runs with an average of 36 and a remarkable strike rate of 206.55.
