Ratangarh (Churu) – A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the Ratangarh area of Churu district, Rajasthan. An Indian Air Force fighter jet crashed in the fields near Bhanuda village, close to Rajaldesar, at around 12:55 PM. According to initial reports, two people have been confirmed dead in the incident.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud explosion in the sky, followed moments later by tall flames and thick smoke rising from the fields, causing panic throughout the area.Upon receiving information about the incident, the administration and police teams immediately rushed to the site. Churu District Collector Abhishek Surana and local police officials are also on their way to the crash location. Additionally, the Air Force rescue team is expected to arrive shortly to secure the wreckage and begin the investigation.
Villagers said that as soon as the aircraft crashed, fire spread to the surrounding fields. Local residents risked their lives in an attempt to extinguish the flames. The wreckage of the aircraft is scattered all over the crash site, indicating the severity of the accident.
It is not yet clear whether the crash was caused by a technical fault or some other reason. The military and administration will soon begin a formal investigation into the incident.
