What makes this film unique is that it marks Kajol’s first-ever horror and action performance on screen. ‘Maa’ is being hailed as the first Indian mythological horror film, based on the epic tale of Goddess Kali and the demon Raktabija.

Kajol described the word “Maa” as a source of strength and emotional resonance, saying, “In joy or sorrow, the first word we utter is ‘Maa’. It holds layers of meaning and power.”

“This story is not just horror,” says Kajol. “It became powerful enough to be called horror. It began as a spiritual film and evolved into something truly impactful.”

🔹 Mystery of the Antagonist

Kajol refused to reveal who the demon is in the film, saying, “You’ll have to watch it. It’s a battle between faith and fear.”

🔹 Kids’ Reaction to Kajol’s Look
