Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 – In a crucial match played in Dubai, India defeated Pakistan by 90 runs in their second match of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025. Batting first, Team India scored 240 runs in 46.1 overs. Aaron George’s unbeaten 85 put the team in a strong position. Kanishk Chauhan also steadied the innings with a 46-run knock.

Bowlers thwart Pakistani batsmen

India’s bowling restricted Pakistan to just 150 runs. Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chauhan bowled brilliantly, taking three wickets each. Pakistan were all out in 41.2 overs.

Rain and the Match

Rain also disrupted the match between India and Pakistan. Due to the weather, the match was reduced to 49 overs each. Team India was given the opportunity to bat first. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for just 5 runs, but captain Ayush Mhatre scored 38 runs, and Aaron George steadied the innings.

Mhatre scored 38 runs in 25 balls, hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes. Wickets continued to fall, but George kept the team on top. George scored 85 runs in 88 balls, hitting 12 fours and 1 six. Kanishk, who came in to bat at number seven, played a fiery 46 runs.

India secured a place in the semi-finals

With this win, India recorded their second consecutive victory in the tournament and secured their place in the semi-finals.
