Hindaun City News: Prerna Public School

Prerna Public School, operating in the Jatav Basti area of Hindaun City, Karauli district, has approached the administration regarding the safety of its students. The school’s Headmaster has submitted a formal letter to the Commissioner of the Municipal Council, urging the immediate removal of illegal encroachments and construction materials blocking Block No. 54 and the colony’s main access roads.

The Core Issue

According to the school administration, some local residents have dumped large quantities of building materials, stones, and debris on the public pathways surrounding the colony. This has significantly narrowed the roads, leading to the following critical issues:

  • Disruption of School Bus Movement: The restricted road width has made it extremely difficult for school buses to navigate, causing delays and logistical hurdles.
  • Risk of Accidents: Scattered stones and debris on the road pose a constant threat, with children and pedestrians frequently slipping or getting injured.
  • Fear of Emergencies: During peak hours, trapped buses could jeopardize student safety in the event of an emergency, as quick movement is hindered by the blockage.

List of Offenders Submitted to Administration

In the official letter, the school administration has identified six individuals responsible for the encroachment by dumping materials on the road. The list includes:

  1. Sundar (S/o Ramsahay)
  2. Vijay (S/o Girraj)
  3. Satish (S/o Tikam)
  4. Ram Singh (S/o Natholi)
  5. Kanha (S/o Panai)
  6. Jagdish (S/o Natholi)

School’s Decisive Stance

The Headmaster stated firmly that public pathways are communal property and any individual occupation is not only ethically wrong but also a legal offense. He issued a warning to the administration, stating that if the encroachment is not removed promptly and a major accident occurs, the total responsibility will lie with the encroachers and the concerned department.

Conclusion and Appeal

Local residents and school staff maintain that the safety of children is paramount. There is an urgent appeal to the Municipal Council to inspect the site and initiate immediate seizure of the materials to ensure a safe passage for the young students.
