ICAI Kshitij Program Jaipur

Jaipur, June 27. Calling Chartered Accountants (CAs) the backbone of the country’s economy, Rajasthan Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde urged them to work with a dedicated ‘Nation First’ approach. Addressing the ‘Kshitij’ program organized by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur on Saturday, he shared insightful views on economic development, environmental conservation, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

This special event was organized keeping in mind the grand vision of ‘India’s Excellence in 2047’.

Key Highlights of the Governor’s Address:

  • The Need for Environmental Audits: The Governor appealed to CA professionals not to restrict their expertise solely to ensuring Income Tax and GST compliance. He emphasized that in today’s era, auditing environmental standards in industrial sectors is equally crucial. He stated that this proactive vigilance is the only way to protect the nation from the severe threats of climate change while sustaining industrial growth.
  • Inspiration from the Kathopanishad: Shri Bagde specially highlighted ICAI’s motto, ‘Ya Esha Supteshu Jagarti’ (One who is awake when all are asleep). He noted that this powerful mantra from the Kathopanishad should serve as a guiding light for students and professionals alike. He encouraged the youth to stay deeply rooted in India’s traditional knowledge systems while marching confidently on the path of modern development.
  • Strategic Utilization of CSR Funds: Speaking on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Governor advised CA professionals to guide corporate firms and business organizations in channeling their CSR funds toward the untouched and genuinely needy sectors of society. He stressed that these funds must be utilized to provide quality education to the underprivileged, improve healthcare facilities, and support broader national development initiatives.
  • Transparency and Legal Integrity: The Governor advised aspiring CA students to always operate within the boundaries of the law when handling complex financial matters such as GST compliance, forensic auditing, capital budgeting, and financial forecasting. By maintaining absolute transparency, CAs can contribute their 100% to boosting the nation’s revenue and fueling its overall progress.

The prestigious event concluded with Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde formally releasing a special souvenir titled “Kshitij”.
